SOL Grids is a strategic investor dedicated to shaping the future of energy in South Eastern Europe. While renewable energy assets are at the core of our portfolio, our ambition extends beyond power generation—we aim to become a major industry player by investing in businesses, technologies, and infrastructure that drive the green energy transition. Established by VC Solar Energy I Limited, a Private Equity Fund, based in Hong Kong, SOL Grids was created with a bold vision: to unlock the full potential of the green energy transition in South Eastern Europe. Our journey so far reflects this commitment—in 2024, we acquired a 600 MWp solar portfolio in Bulgaria, marking a significant step in our expansion. We are actively developing wind and solar projects across Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece, while also investing in energy storage, grid optimization, and new business models that support the transition to a low-carbon economy. Our long-term vision is to go beyond renewable energy assets and become a leading force in sustainable energy projects, driving innovation, reliability, and energy security across the region.
